Values and Norms of the Village

Today he asked about our norms and values. Specifically why we rank our guild system with moon symbols. It was a question i wanted to know the answer to as well, we also base our language system off the phases as well. The guild master and elders looked at each other and simply said; "The moon always brings something new, the cycle always renews itself. simply there is always something new to learn." Hunts are a sort of right of passage, when someone becomes able to move onto the next rank they are sent on a higher level task, usually a hunt or a gathering task in a dangerous area. These higher ranked progression missions are called Blue Moon missions for special requests, Hunts are called Eclipse missions, and Gatherings are called Harvest Moon Missions. Blood moon is only rated for when someone does not survive a mission. We rely on the hunts we do for trade. Monster parts and materials usually fetch a good price, we also trade fish caught in Crescent cove, which is the main cove in our village.
